What Is The Cortices Technique?

The BodyTalk Cortices Technique is the single most critical technique used in the BodyTalk System. It involves tapping lightly on specific areas of the head, known as the cortices (plural for brain cortex), which are thought to be related to the brain's neural network. The cortices are made up of the frontal, parietal, occipital and temporal lobes of the brain. The gentle tapping helps to stimulate the brain and promote communication between different parts of the brain, allowing the body's natural healing mechanisms to function more efficiently.

Why Is The Cortices Technique So Important?

The brain is arguably the most important organ in the body. To a certain degree, all symptoms, conditions and disease are mirrored at the level of the brain. By focusing and balancing the brain, regardless of underlying physical or emotional imbalances, the Cortices Technique is addressing the entire bodymind complex.

The brain also represents the belief systems that are stored there which act as the filters that create our current state of health. When we perform this technique we are indirectly helping with the process of releasing these belief systems. There is better clarity of thought when the brain is cleared of its dysfunctional beliefs, resulting in a healthier body and mind.

What Are The Benefits of The BodyTalk Cortices Technique?

The Cortices Technique also improves circulation within the brain on many levels. In addition to increasing blood circulation within the brain, it also increases the circulation of cerebrospinal fluid and lymphatic drainage of waste-product electrolytes from the brain activity. The flow of meridian energy and other subtle energy systems critical for healthy brain function are improved.

Each time we perform the Cortices Technique, we are boosting the circulation systems within the brain. If we perform this technique regularly, we will see continued improvement in overall brain function, a reduction in stress and our flight/fight/freeze/faint responses as well as our body’s symptoms.

When Do I Use The BodyTalk Cortices Technique?

The BodyTalk Cortices Technique is often used as a stand-alone technique or as part of a larger BodyTalk session, and it can be used to address a wide range of physical, emotional, and mental issues, including stress, anxiety, pain and fatigue. It is a non-invasive technique that is safe and suitable for people of all ages, from babies to the elderly.
